Dolled up days for Ty Hafan
Businesses and organisations across Wales are being invited to inject a touch of glamour in to the workplace in October by holding Dolled Up Days for Tŷ Hafan.
The fundraiser is being arranged in partnership with us Cardiff Fashion Week.
They are our official charity and are also celebrating 18 years of being there for children with life limiting conditions, and their families.
You often hear of workplaces doing dress down days for good causes, but in the spirit of Cardiff Fashion Week, we are encouraging people to really glam up at work one day and donate to Tŷ Hafan at the same time.
It’s an opportunity to get out your favourite dress or suit that you once wore for a special occasion and have never had the chance to wear again. We think it will be a lot of fun and will add a fun feel to the workplace.
Chloe Payne from Tŷ Hafan said: “As it’s our 18th year, there’s even more reason than normal to arrange a Dolled Up Day and celebrate with us. People can just dress up and donate or really push the boat out by doing all sorts of things like organising a high tea at work or decorating the office in a party mood. We are really looking forward to seeing the pictures!”
To launch Dolled Up Days, Miss Wales 2017, Hannah Williams from Bridgend took part in a photoshoot with Tŷ Hafan’s shop, Emporium in Royal Arcade, Cardiff. The shop specialises in vintage clothing and has a selection of glamorous outfits on sale from yesteryear.
